With the advent of GAFE, schools now have the ability to create a TV station on-site for very little cost. Teachers have the ability to put announcements directly onto slides that the TV anchors use as a script. Students then prepare, record and edit the broadcast. The broadcast is shared onto Google and teachers can then simply click on the movie to show it on their projector when announcement time arrives. Students can operate every aspect of the TV station with minimal supervision. The results are immediate and dramatic; students are excited to watch their friends on the broadcast and do not want to miss a single moment of the show. The possibilities for the school are endless: interviews, live features, weather segments, videos, birthdays, guest speakers, administration messages and more. Participants of this session will be provided with the a copy of our announcement slides, broadcast sample, job descriptions developed with the students, as well as a suggested step-by-step process to get your TV station up and running.
