I'm an educator with 7+ years experience from the mainland and am new to The Victoria School District (SD61). I've focused on teaching English as a second language in the Coquitlam School District (SD43) with newcomers to Canada (the parents and the kids) and learning support. I have piloted SD43's online blended program with the Moodle platform in their Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC) program and have been a lead teacher in the roll out of Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA) in their district. I have a passion for incorporating technology with English language learning for face to face and self-paced learning at home and have led numerous workshops in SD43 geared towards bringing in technology into the classroom and into teachers' practice.
