This session will allow participants to gain hands-on experience with new Augmented Reality (AR) applications and we will learn a simple process to make our own AR. We will work together to build a custom map complete with images and annotation. Then we will take it to the next level by viewing our map through an augmented reality app. Workshop Outcomes... session participants will: 1. learn about creating Custom Google Maps for instructional purposes. 2. collaboratively create a Custom Google Map to plot, and annotate, geo-site profiles. 3. discuss Augmented Reality (AR) and implications for classroom use. 4. be coached through the steps of exporting a Custom Google Map for AR. 5. experience our Custom Google Map in AR.
