Jason Smit is a Google for Education Certified Innovator and Trainer and has worked in instructional technology for 13+ years serving different roles; technology teacher, Assistant Principal, and currently as an Instructional Technology Coordinator. He collaborates with teachers to implement innovative strategies and practices in the classroom. These roles require him to utilize different professional development strategies including personal coaching, live streaming, as well as video and print tutorials. His philosophy is that learning takes place in education through creation, not consumption and technology is the tool to drive that process. Jason works hard to equip, encourage, and support teachers to successfully integrate technology into their instruction.
