Countdown to Summit!

Spotlight Sessions

Coding

Coding is a great way to introduce critical thinking, problem solving and creativity into your classroom. While students compose their programs, they learn how to simplify problems, devise creative solutions and have fun doing it! This holds true regardless of the age level of your students. The complexity of the code increases as the students age, but the logical thinking stays throughout.

In this hands on workshop, we examine coding platforms that are appropriate for a variety of ability levels. Starting with the basics and moving to the advanced examples of coding logic, specific apps, and how to connect with real world implementation. Attendees will receive access to coding resources for their students and complete their own example code.

Advanced Google Tools

AR and VR are more prevalent than ever as our device become more powerful. We will look at existing use case for exploring virtual worlds in the classroom, as well as create and code your own custom virtual world!

Augmented & Virtual Reality
in Education

Your school has gone Google, now what? In this workshop we teach practical implementation of G Suite with Chromebooks. Beyond the individual tools we provide a systematic look at how students and teachers can use G Suite within an educational framework. Participants leave with templates, resources and best practices for using Google Apps in meaningful ways with students. Whether you're new to G Suite or a seasoned veteran, join us for a fun tour through of all your new device has to offer.
